Our individual (and collective) calls to climate action are at the core of the work we do here at Iowa IPL. This month, we asked each of our Called To Climate Action student leaders why they are called to climate action:
Katie Walsh:
“I am called to climate action because everyone deserves to drink until they are satisfied without worrying about contamination, fill their lungs with clean air, and bask in the glory of nature thriving.“
Ilianna Murphy:
“I am called to climate action because I value the world we live in and everything it has to offer: Snow-capped mountains to ski, rich coffee beans, beautiful plants and animals, and clean air to breathe.
Nazma Noray:
“I am called to climate action because climate change impacts humans in a multifaceted way. We cannot achieve true equity without tackling climate change.”
Our Called To Climate Action Student Leadership Program engages college students who feel called to act on the climate crisis while being rooted in faith. This program prepares young student leaders to take climate action with them wherever their individual paths may lead them in the future. This program is essential in helping shape the next generation of climate leaders in our state.
Called To Climate Action is 100% fully funded by our individual donors. We could not successfully carry out this program without the generosity of donors like you. We hope you will consider making a gift for our students today and help support the climate leaders of our future.
