ABOUT FAITH FARMS & CLIMATE

Farming faithfully in order to preserve and protect creation.

Faith, Farms & Climate (FFC) was a project of Iowa Interfaith Power & Light which ended in 2024. In church halls and basements, we brought farmers together to talk about how their faith calls them to climate action. We know that farmers bring a lot to the table when talking about how faith calls them to climate action.

Iowa is a leader in climate action through renewable energy and our farmers are leading the way in best practices that capture carbon and reduce emissions on their farms.

We believe (and know) that farmers can:

LEAD

…on creating innovative solutions to fight climate change.

DEVELOP

…smart public policy that benefits themselves and our planet.

BE REWARDED

…by the market for climate solution innovation on their farms.

…their stories with the public.

Never be afraid to change. I farm differently today than I did twenty years ago. I believe that successful farming requires overcoming adversities in a productive and sustainable way while recognizing and creating the solutions to the climate crisis.
