At Iowa Faith & Climate Network, we believe in the power of faith communities to lead the way in addressing the climate crisis. The urgency of this work has never been clearer—shifting weather patterns are devastating Iowa’s farmers, and our most vulnerable neighbors are facing increasing damage from extreme weather. But faith-rooted action can bring hope and transformation.

That’s why we are continuing to build something powerful—a movement of congregations, clergy, and individuals committed to climate justice. But we cannot do this without you.

This April, we need to raise $25,000 to launch the next phase of this work, and we need your help to get there. Will you make a gift today?

Why Your Gift Matters Now

Five years ago, a friend introduced me to Matt Russell, then the executive director of Iowa IPL. That conversation changed the course of my life. What drew me in then—and what keeps me here now—is our unwavering commitment to empowering people of faith to take bold action for climate justice.

We have now grown into the Iowa Faith & Climate Network declaring a bold, new vision and a mission that better reflects who we are. We have listened and are working with our faith communities to ensure that you have the tools you need for faith-rooted climate advocacy.

Now, with your support, we are expanding our reach even further:

Launching Climate-Informed Ministry Cohorts to equip clergy with tools to lead on climate justice
Hosting the Called to Climate Action Conference, bringing faith leaders together for urgent action
Building partnerships across faith traditions to mobilize thousands toward advocacy and solutions

But to do this, we need your financial investment.

Here’s how your gift makes an impact:

  • $25 plants the seeds for our day-to-day operations
  • $50 amplifies our communications so we can inspire and mobilize more people of faith
  • $250 fuels partnerships that strengthen our interfaith movement
  • $500 funds staff travel to bring climate justice conversations into congregations statewide
  • $1,000 provides direct grants for Climate-Informed Ministry projects
  • $10,000 sustains our Called to Climate Action Conference, a crucial space for faith leaders

The Time to Act Is Now

Climate change can feel overwhelming, but together we are proving that it is not insurmountable. Every sermon, every conversation, every advocacy effort builds momentum.

Will you make your most generous gift today? Your donation—no matter the size—fuels this movement and ensures faith communities lead boldly in the fight for climate justice.

With gratitude and hope,

Deaconess Irene DeMaris, Executive Director
