What a whirlwind 2025 has been! For Iowa Faith & Climate Network, it’s been a year of transformation, community, and hope; and it was made possible by supporters like you.
Because of your faith and generosity, we took a bold step forward. A year ago, we changed our name, updated our mission, and recommitted to equipping people of diverse faith and spirituality to take climate action. You have been at the heart of that transformation.
Our work together has direct impact in our communities and the core of our new mission: to nurture environmental leadership by equipping individuals and communities with resources to take climate action. This year we launched a new resource every month, giving faith communities across Iowa the tools to learn, connect, and lead on climate action:
- Growing Faith: A six-week Bible study
- What’s Your Climate Story?: Craft your story to engage others
- Faith & Climate Speakers Bureau: Bring a speaker to your event
- Iowa Faith-Based Eco-Project Map: A showcase and celebration of eco-projects
- Environmental Blessings: A collection of liturgies
- Climate-Informed Congregational Glossary: Defining key climate terms
- Plus: Season of Creation worship resources, book reviews, and more!
This year we launched our first Climate-Informed Clergy Cohort with 11 clergy serving communities from Dubuque to Milford, Council Bluffs to Waukon, and beyond. Together, they’re learning to integrate climate awareness into worship, preaching, and community leadership.
We are leaning into our vision of a world where people of diverse faith and spirituality work together toward a healthy, just, and sustainable future for all.
We’ve shown up, and continue to do so, in communities, in pulpits, and in the public square because you show up with us.
Now, as we close out this remarkable year, we invite you to help make 2026 our strongest year yet with more programming across Iowa and new resources for leaders in faith-rooted climate advocacy. Will you make a year-end gift today to help build a faithful, just, and sustainable future for all? We cannot do this without you. Your gift today will sustain this growing network and help us expand our reach in the year ahead.
Together, we’re turning faith into climate action and hope into change.
With faith and gratitude,
Deaconess Irene DeMaris, Executive Director
