With 2024 over and done, I’d like to look ahead to all the amazing things Iowa Interfaith Power & Light has happening in 2025. As someone who does this work day in and day out, I can genuinely say that I am incredibly excited for the changes to come. I am going into this new year feeling reinvigorated, rejuvenated, and reaffirmed in Iowa IPL’s work and our mission in mobilizing Iowans of diverse faith and spirituality to take bold and just action on the climate crisis. Here is a first look at just some of the amazing things we have in store for 2025:
- Our Called To Climate Action Conference is making a comeback this year! We would like to invite you to our event on March 29, 2025 at Grinnell College for environmental and faith-based workshops, connecting with other environmental organizations, and hearing about our exciting organizational news.
- We are dedicating ourselves to engaging congregations in climate action with our new 6-week Bible study, Growing Faith: 6 Biblical Parables on Cultivating Creation Care. This study will engage groups as they explore 6 biblical parables and consider their meaning for us as creation stewards.
- In addition, our new clergy-focused Climate-informed Ministry Cohort will be coming soon. Through mentorship, training, and connections with other faith leaders, clergy will gain tools to bring climate-conscious practices and resilience to their churches and ministries. Be on the lookout for more details!
Iowa IPL truly has so much to look forward to in 2025 – our path is clearer than ever before. Want to support our climate action work in a meaningful way? Make a gift to Iowa IPL today! We are excited and you should be too – Happy 2025, from us to you!
Blessings,
