2023 Farm Bill
Iowa IPL’s hope is that the 2023 Farm Bill is one that truly reduces greenhouse gas emissions and provides broad environmental benefits while increasing equity and justice among those who produce food and agricultural goods and improving the lives of people in rural communities.
Inflation Reduction Act
The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) aims to boost the resilience, reliability, and affordability of climate-smart agriculture and conservation practices, access to rural opportunities, improved air quality, and a clean energy economy.
Bipartisan Infrastructure Law
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law focuses on updating rural roads, bridges, railways, and airports- all helping to reduce carbon pollution. In addition, funding is being directed towards improving access to clean drinking water and affordable high speed internet in rural areas, while also modernizing wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
