If you’re in the Decorah area, pop in for an informal afternoon meet and greet with Irene DeMaris, Executive Director of Iowa Faith & Climate Network.
Irene will be in Decorah for the weekend and will be guest preaching at First Lutheran at their Saturday service at 5pm and Sunday services at 8:15am and 10:30am. On Sunday afternoon, she’ll be hanging out at The Landing from 1–3pm and would love to connect with supporters, faith leaders, advocates, and community members.
There’s no formal program or agenda. Just a chance to say hello, grab a snack and/or beverage, and have a conversation.
Irene would especially love to hear about what your faith communities are doing around climate advocacy and how Iowa Faith & Climate Network can support your work. If you’re looking for ways to plug in more deeply, she’d also be glad to share different ways to get involved across our programs and advocacy efforts.
