Iowa Gives Green is back for its fourth annual day of environmental giving on Wednesday, August 7th! There are now over 30 amazing environmental organizations across the state of Iowa working together to protect Iowa’s environment and make it more accessible and equitable for everyone. Iowa Interfaith Power & Light is proud to be one of those organizations and the only faith group represented in Iowa Gives Green.
We have seen unfathomable weather events wreak havoc across our state this year – numerous tornadoes growing in intensity, extreme flooding in some parts of the state and years-long drought in others, and one of the hottest summers on record in June alone. Our work as environmental organizations is imperative, now more than ever.
Thanks to the generosity of Iowa IPL supporters, Iowa IPL has a $2,500 matching gift to meet this year’s Iowa Gives Green goal!
Here at Iowa IPL, we move forward with hope for a better, healthier, safer world for future generations and we do so by taking faith-filled climate action each day. In honor of this year’s Iowa Gives Green, Iowa IPL will be presenting a series of blessings entitled, “Glorious Green: Blessings of Praise, Hope, and Protection for Creation.” We are excited to share these blessings with you and hope they inspire you to move forward with hope.
