On January 23, the board of National Interfaith Power & Light made the difficult decision to suspend its operations. While this is a significant shift, the mission and work of Iowa IPL remain. Our commitment to a healthy, just, and sustainable future for all is as strong as ever.
As an independent 501(c)(3), Iowa IPL will continue to organize, implement local climate solutions, and advocate for policy. We are working closely with our IPL network colleagues across the country to stay connected and ensure that faith-driven climate action remains a powerful force.
In 2024, Iowa IPL began a strategic planning process to strengthen our organization. As part of this effort, we will be unveiling significant changes at the end of February to enhance our impact in advancing climate justice across Iowa. Running a nonprofit comes with substantial costs, and we rely heavily on the generous contributions of our supporters. We have big dreams for the future, and by continuing to give and increasing your commitment, we can accomplish even more in Iowa.
Together, we have achieved so much, and together, we will keep moving forward with determination and hope. Thank you for standing with us as we continue this vital work in Iowa and beyond.
