Join us for a community lunch-and-learn on Iowa’s water quality, hosted by New Beginnings Christian Church. Across the state, concerns are growing about what is in our water from elevated nitrate levels and harmful bacteria closures at state parks to new research exploring connections between water quality and health outcomes. This gathering offers an opportunity to learn more about these issues and to explore practical solutions rooted in policy and community action.
We will be joined by representatives from Practical Farmers of Iowa and the Environmental Law and Policy Center, who will share insights into current challenges as well as policies and practices that can help protect and improve Iowa’s water systems.
The event will take place on June 10, 2026, from 12:00–1:30 p.m. at 8631 Hickman Rd in Urbandale. Lunch will be provided, and a free will offering will be received to support the event.
All are welcome. Please register in advance so we can plan for lunch and seating.
