Nothing is more powerful or transformational than hope born out of love for a better future. Last month, we sent out the message that climate action is love throughout the state of Iowa (and a few other states). This month we want to ask you, what gives you hope? I am hopeful because you continue to invest in Iowa Interfaith Power & Light’s mission to empower Iowans of faith and conscience to take bold and just action on the climate crisis. This act of hopeful love is an essential climate action.

As the leading faith organization working on the environment in Iowa, we take our mission to heart every single day. We lean into our strength as people of faith and conscience because it makes us different. We envision a world where we live in right relationship with our neighbors and planet. We are building this vision and dreaming big with you by:
- Creating hopeful and love-based climate action through letter writing for clean energy, action alerts to share that people of faith care, and increased capacity for advocacy at the state and federal levels.
- Inviting all Iowans into our work by leading with faith and compassion to have (sometimes hard) conversations about climate in all corners of the state through Faith Farms & Climate.
- Equipping people of faith and conscience to know how their faith forms their climate action through Called to Climate Action. We are developing the next generation of advocates by giving them the tools to take faithful climate action for the rest of their lives.
- Growing as an organization. There is a deep yearning for faith-rooted climate action, and we are committed to using our abundance (and your generosity) to meet that need.
